Thai Pink Buffalo – Named for the rare albino water buffalo considered sacred in Thai culture, this strain was first documented in the rice paddies and grazing fields of rural Thailand.

Nepal, Chitwan – Sourced from the subtropical lowlands of Chitwan, Nepal — a region better known for its rhinos and tigers than its fungi — this isolate reflects the biodiversity of the Himalayan foothills.

Burma – Hailing from the tropical forests of Myanmar (formerly Burma), this is one of the more storied classic isolates in the hobby. Burma spores are known for their reliable quality and have long been a staple in spore libraries worldwide.

Spore Strain Origin

Thai Pink Buffalo – This strain was first found thriving in rice paddies and fields in Thailand. Nepal, Chitwan – is found in the Himalayan foothills and subtropical lowlands of Chitwan, Nepal. Burma – have been found growing in the tropical forests of Myanmar (formerly know as Burma).

Mushrooms in the Wild

Thai Pink Buffalo is a tropical, dung loving mushroom mushroom that thrives in the rice paddies and grazing fields of Thailand. Nepal, Chitwan is found in the very biodiverse jungle in the Himalayan foothills in Nepal. Burma was originally collected from buffalo dung in an unplanted rice field near the city of Yangon, Myanmar.

Mushroom Spore Features

Thai Pink Buffalo mushroom spores are purple to brownish in color, ellipsoid in shape, and average 11.5 to 17 x 8 – 11 micrometers in size. Nepal, Chitwan mushrooms create dark brown to purple spore prints, with spores averaging 13 x 8 micrometers in size. Burma spores are oval-shaped and brownish in color, and form dense, gorgeous prints from the large fruit they produce.

A spore syringe is a medical-grade syringe filled with mushroom spores suspended in sterilized distilled water; they’re easy to work with and ready for use right out of the box.

A spore print is the direct deposit of spores left by placing a mushroom cap onto a sterile surface like glass, foil, or paper. Prints can be stored long-term and utilized when needed. (Hydration of spores happens when put in a syringe, but there are other uses as well.)
