Pan Cyan var “British Virgin Islands; TTBVI” is our newest rotating Panaeolus cyanescens offering. PNW Spore is excited about these genetics because they come from wild spore prints that originated in the British Virgin Islands, and are also known as BVI or TTBVI. Pan Cyan spores do look different than cubensis spores under the microscope. These BVI spores are less elliptical and more “lemon-shaped.” BVI spore prints are smaller due to the cap size and drop black spores. Another great addition to your spore library!

Panaeolus cyanescens var “British Virgin Islands; TTBVI” were discovered growing under Tamarind Trees in the British Virgin Islands of the Caribbean. The specific genetics that we offer in our spore syringe are taken from wild spore prints.
Panaeolus cyanescens mushrooms are in the Bolbitiaceae family. They prefer enriched soil and manure in tropical climates, and can be very dependent on optimal environmental conditions to thrive. These pan cyans are found growing under Tamarind Trees in the British Virgin Islands. They display small conical caps atop long stems.
Pan cyan mushroom spores definitely look different under the microscope than cubensis spores. These TTBVI spores are jet black and less elliptical in shape.
Panaeolus cyanescens magic mushroom spores are suitable for intermediate to advanced levels of research experience. Our Panaeolus cyanescens var “British Virgin Islands; TTBVI” magic mushroom spore syringes are guaranteed to be free of contamination and contain MILLIONS of spores.

A spore syringe is a medical-grade syringe filled with mushroom spores suspended in sterilized distilled water; they’re easy to work with and ready for use right out of the box.

A spore print is the direct deposit of spores left by placing a mushroom cap onto a sterile surface like glass, foil, or paper. Prints can be stored long-term and utilized when needed. (Hydration of spores happens when put in a syringe, but there are other uses as well.)

For beginner researchers, syringes are the recommended starting point, with no prep work required. Explore the PNW Spore print collection to compare options.

We’ve got gourmet & medicinal liquid cultures in stock too!
