Description
“PES” stands for Pacifica Exotic Spora; a Honolulu company that first collected and marketed this Cubensis variety for research.
Despite its name, the origin of PES Hawaiian remains a mystery, as there are no documented accounts of wild Cubensis growing on the Hawaiian Islands. Many researchers surmise that a popular Cubenis variety was rebranded to capitalize on the well-known location of their business.
Even with its unknown origin, PES Hawaiian continues to be sought after by researchers due to the generous fruits it produces. This variety develops large, reddish-brown caps that lighten to a golden brown with maturity, and long, solid stems.
PES Hawaiian is suitable for spore researchers of all experience levels.
