Texas Orange Cap, also known as Texas OC, is commonly found in parts of Southern Texas and Northern Mexico in pastures and along hiking trails.
This psilocybin producing magic mushroom is actually a unique mutation of the Texas strain of Psilocybe cubensis. A cultivator noticed certain mushrooms had a unique orange colored cap and stabilized these genetics.
Texas OC spores are purple to brownish in color, and are sub-ellipsoid in shape, while present on 4-sided basidia.
