Argentina cubensis spores are a wonderful exotic for microscopy research, and a great choice for researchers who appreciate strains with a long, well-documented natural history. Originating in the mountainous rainforests of Northern Argentina — specifically the Tafi del Valle region — this is a strain with deep roots in the South American landscape and thought to be first collected in the late 1950’s or early 1960’s. They are typically found thriving in enriched soils and bovine dung on highland grazing pastures throughout the region. Argentina cubensis offers a richly detailed and rewarding research subject for any level of experience.

Argentina magic mushrooms originated in the mountainous rainforests of Argentina; more specifically, Tafi del Valle in Northern Argentina. The original sample is thought to have been collected in the late 1950’s or early 1960’s.
Argentina magic mushrooms are naturally found growing in the Tafi del Valle in Northern Argentina. This cubensis has been domesticated for sometime, and have been flourishing on cattle farms in the region. When found in the wild, this mushroom is an avid and dense fruiter, with smaller, numerous fruit bodies, and is quite resistant to other fungal competitors in the fungal kingdom.
Spores of Psilocybe cubensis var. Argentina are dark purple to dark brown, creating beautiful and dense spore prints. These spores create very strong rhizomorphic growth and aggressive colonization. Caps range in color from light brown to golden brown, with stems much smaller in relation to their cap size.
Argentina magic mushrooms spores are suitable for all levels of research experience. Our Argentina magic mushroom spore syringes are guaranteed to be free of contamination and contain MILLIONS of spores. **Description and images provided for informational and educational purposes only**

A spore syringe is a medical-grade syringe filled with mushroom spores suspended in sterilized distilled water; they’re easy to work with and ready for use right out of the box.

A spore print is the direct deposit of spores left by placing a mushroom cap onto a sterile surface like glass, foil, or paper. Prints can be stored long-term and utilized when needed. (Hydration of spores happens when put in a syringe, but there are other uses as well.)

For beginner researchers, syringes are the recommended starting point, with no prep work required. Explore the PNW Spore print collection to compare options.

We’ve got gourmet & medicinal liquid cultures in stock too!
