Albino Penis Envy Revert, AKA APE Revert or APE-R, is an isolation of the Albino Penis Envy strain that was created by Jake Oncid in 2019. The term “revert” refers to a strain that has “reverted” to an older phenotype when comparing spore shape and color. There are a number of differences between APE and APE Revert, including less albinism present in the fruit, as well as a less pronounced phallic-shaped cap. Even though the name includes Albino, APE-R is not a true albino and does possess some pigmentation. A true albino will release purely albino spores, whereas APE Revert drops much fewer albino spores and consistently creates dark brown to purple spore prints. Studies have shown that APE Revert is not a fully stable variety and tends to produce some variance in physical characteristics, including the occasional creation of much larger individual mushrooms. Albino Penis Envy Revert spores are intriguing to study under the microscope and one of the most popular cubensis strains offered by PNW Spore.

Albino Penis Envy Revert, or APE Revert, is an Albino Penis Envy isolation created by Jake Oncid in 2019. This variety retains much of the same characteristics of an Albino Penis Envy, with more stability in consistency and functional spore drops.
APE Revert is not a naturally occurring psilocybin producing mushroom, but was created and stabilized by Jake Oncid.
APE Revert magic mushrooms drop purplish brown spores, but retain the genetic mutation to produce pigment free to slightly pigmented fruit.
