Colombian Rust magic mushrooms are a mutated strain originating from Colombia, and is said to have ties to PES Amazonian. The original sample of this strain is thought to have been collected in a pasture just outside the small village of Villa de Leiva, Colombia.

The genetic mutation is also said to have ties with PES Amazonian and can be found in subtropical and tropical regions of South America, Central America, and Mexico.
